Delayed my work for a week. Which created an issue for scheduling for me. They did the work seemed professional about it. Plumbing issue was fixed. However they didnt come back to clean up the dirt they left on my front lawn. They did the work 3 weeks ago and still havent cleaned up. Left me with a big mess. Not the happiest customer.
Had a flood in my basement. Technician was in my house for maybe 5 minutes, charged me 200 bucks and never said a word to me. Company refused to send me furnace report, told me had to get it off company working with insurance.EDIT - after owner reviewWhere was this quality of response when I called your office 4 times? All I asked for was the report FOR insurance. I was under a cap with the insurance company and I needed to know if I needed a replacement furnace or a cleaning. For anyone else reading this: my insurance did get a copy approximately a monthly after we needed it and yes, there was a charge. Not to me directly but to the restoration company. Which was paid by MY insurance. I just don't understand why you REFUSED to send a report on MY furnace. I was really hoping to get that information from the technician onsite but I only saw him once when I let him in. 5 minutes *may* have been an exaggeration? I guarantee you 20 minutes would be overly generous. You could have contacted me directly after your thorough internal review. I would have loved to talk to someone at the company about my experience
This morning I called Ideal to deal with gas leaks in our furnace. The service was excellent and timely. Sandy gave us an accurate time for the service call and even called to say when the service technicians were en route. Jeff and Alfredo were patient and answered all of our questions and were obviously well qualified. We will not only use this company for all our future needs but will highly recommend Ideal to anyone in need of their services. Our experience was all positive and we felt the bill was fair. Thankyou and Happy Thanksgiving!
Boiler Installation May 08/2012The proprietor and does not supervise his crew. May last, a boiler was to be installed. They started by putting a 4" hole in the wrong basement wall and put the nearest window out of commission. After the installation was said to be done, it failed on day one. They almost left me with it for lack of an "error message" but one showed up has he was ready to leave, trash caught in a valve. He replaced the valve but did not clear any line. Just told me it could happen again any time. They failed to flush the system with the product that the manufacturer said MUST be used. (They told me flushing was optional but not doing it "May invalidate the warranty" according to the manufacturer. It took weeks to get the system correctly installed and only got proper hot water after sending pics to the head office. They promptly pointed out a misplaced valve and the installer asked me, "So where do they want it?" What?! I am supposed to tell him how to do his job? Some time later I was reading over the invoice and found no charge for the water conditioner. I phoned and found they had not used any, they then put the conditioner in. Here I am the first cold weather and both heat and hot water are failing to perform properly. I can not get the heat over 62-63F and the hot water cuts out the second an other faucet is touched. To try and get the heat up I bled the rads and found solid flecks of junk in the bleed off. (Lack of flushing? None of this was as advertised! This has been the installation from HE !! Boiler Installation - Update Nov 29/2012The thermostat that came with the installation could never be made to work. They charged me for a new one AND TOOK the one that came with the system for their own use. That one had cost $99. so in effect the new one REALLY cost me $245.90 AND STILL it failed. A third thermostat was purchased from them and they almost walked away with the second one also. I said, "Excuse me, that's mine! It was handed back. The third one also failed, I asked a new contractor to come and see what was wrong. It was the exterior sensor that was making trouble. SO: I paid for 3 thermostats and nothing wrong with any of them. I did keep telling them I thought it might have to do with the sensor and Ideal was adamant that was not and could not be the case. It was. The new guy removing a wire fixed all of the problems! They may get something right from time to time but I have not seen it. KEEP THEM AWAY FROM HEATING SYSTEMS!! Plumbing ONLY, maybe. I am so angry with these guys I could spit! Mark runs the show and needs to stop talking and start caring.
Sprung a leak on a Sunday night, was given a 2 hr window. They were there in 20 min! Investigation was quick, repair was quick and due to the emergency, price was fair. Will call them again in the future
